Description of Recall: THE HINGE AND ROLLER ASSEMBLIES SUPPORTING THE REAR OF THE SLIDING SIDE DOOR MAY BE SUBJECT TO FAILURE AS A RESULT OF PROCESSING DEFICIENCIES IN THE ALUMINUM HINGE BODY.

Conequence:

Action Need To Fix It: UPON INSPECTION ALL ALUMINUM HINGE BODIES WILL BE REPLACED WITH SINTERED METAL COMPONENTS.

POSSIBILITY THATSTEERING COLUMN GEAR SHIFT TUBE WAS NOT PROPERLY SECURED TO THE GEAR SHIFTHOUSING DUE TO OMISSION OF AN ASSEMBLY STAKING OPERATION. IF THIS CONDITIONEXISTS, TUBE IS RETAINED ONLY BY A SET SCREW AND MAY DROP AS THE RESULT OF THESCREW LOOSENING IN SERVICE. THE DOWNWARD MOVEMENT OF THE TUBE ALTERS THERELATIONSHIP OF THE TRANSMISSION SHIFT LINKAGE AND CAN RESULT IN TRANSMISSIONBEING IN GEAR POSITION OTHER THAN THE SELECTOR INDICATES.
