JAYCO EAGLE PREMIER Recalls

Description of Recall: Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) is recalling certain model year 2013-2015 Seismic Pinnacle and Eagle Premier recreational trailers manufactured April 3, 2013, to February 27, 2015. In the affected vehicles, a rivet for the quad entry steps may shear and fail, causing the steps to give when being used.
Conequence: If the rivet shears under occupant load, the occupant may fall, increasing the risk of personal injury.
Action Need To Fix It: Jayco will notify owners, and dealers will replace the defective rivets with bolts, free of charge. The recall began on June 4, 2015. Owners may contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267.

Description of Recall: Jayco is recalling certain model year 2013 Eagle Premier Fifth Wheel recreational vehicle trailers, manufactured from June 14, 2012, through August 10, 2012. These vehicles were manufactured with incorrect information on the Recreational Vehicle Cargo Carrying Capacity Label. Thus, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 120, "Tire Selection and Rims for Motor Vehicles Other Than Passenger Cars."
Conequence: An inaccurate label could lead to owners overloading their vehicles and tires. An overloaded vehicle can result in a tire failure which may result in a vehicle crash, personal injury, or property damage.
Action Need To Fix It: Jayco will notify owners and provide corrected labels free of charge. The safety recall began on November 2, 2012. Owners may contact Jayco at 1-574-825-0608.
