Description of Recall: THE TAPERED KING PIN MAY HAVE BEEN BROKEN SHORTLY AFTER ASSEMBLY INTO THE AXLE.
Conequence: KING PIN COULD WORK LOOSE, CAUSING ERRATIC STEERINGWHICH COULD RESULT IN LOSS OF CONTROL AND A CRASH.
Action Need To Fix It: REPAIR TO CORRECT BROKEN KING PIN CONDITION.

Description of Recall: TRUCKS WERE BUILT WITH HEADLAMPS WIRING HARNESSES WHICH MAY HAVE THE "UPPER BEAM"/"LOWER BEAM" WIRES REVERSED. THIS CAUSES THE TRUCKS NOT TO BE IN COMPLIANCE WITH FMVSS 108. CONSEQUENCE OF DEFECT: LAMPS WOULD USE THE UPPER BEAM FILAMENT WHEN OPERATED IN THE LOWER BEAM MODE. THIS MAY CAUSE VISUAL PROBLEMS TO THE ONCOMING DRIVER AND MAY LEAD TO AN ACCIDENT.

Action Need To Fix It: REPAIR HEADLAMP WIRING TO ASSURE COMFORMANCE WITH FMVSS 108.
