2015 YAMAHA YZFR1M Recall

Item Affected: SUSPENSION:REAR:SHOCK ABSORBER

Date Announced: 04/14/2015

Description of Recall: Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA (Yamaha) is recalling certain model year 2015 YZFR1M motorcycles manufactured January 19, 2015, to March 23, 2015. The affected motorcycles may have been built with an improperly manufactured rear shock absorber. Action Need To Fix It: Yamaha will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the motorcycles and replace any affected rear shock absorbers, free of charge. The recall began on April 29, 2015. Owners may contact Yamaha customer service at 1-800-962-7926. Yamaha's number for this recall is 990095.
