Description of Recall: ON CERTAIN MOTOR HOMES BUILT ON FORD CHASSIS, THE SPEED CONTROL DEACTIVATION SWITCH MAY OVERHEAT.
Conequence: OVERHEATING COULD RESULT IN SMOKE OR BURNING, AND IN AN UNDERHOOD FIRE.
Action Need To Fix It: FORD IS CONDUCTING THIS RECALL (PLEASE SEE 06V286) AND WILL INSTALL A FUSED WIRING HARNESS INTO THE SPEED CONTROL SYSTEM FREE OF CHARGE. OWNERS MAY CONTACT FORD AT 1-866-436-7332 OR JAYCO AT 1-800-283-8267.

Description of Recall: STAPLES WERE USED TO FASTEN THE STEP BOX ON THE REAR CORNERS INSTEAD OF SCREWS.
Conequence: THE WEIGHT OF A PERSON STEPPING ONTO THE STEP BOX COULD CAUSE THE STEP TO BREAK LOOSE AND POSSIBLY CAUSE PERSONAL INJURY.
Action Need To Fix It: DEALERS WILL INSTALL A SUPPORT KIT WHICH CONSISTS OF TWO ANGLED BRACKETS AND ADDITIONAL SCREWS TO SUPPORT THE STEP BOX.
