2012 JAYCO SENECA Recall

Item Affected: TRAILER HITCHES

Description of Recall: JAYCO IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2011 SENECA CLASS C MOTORHOMES, SERIES 36FK AND 37FS, MANUFACTURED FROM MAY 18, 2011, THROUGH JULY 13, 2011. THESE VEHICLES MAY HAVE INSUFFICIENTLY TORQUED BOLTS ATTACHING THE REAR HITCH TO THE FRAME.

Conequence: LOOSE HITCH BOLTS COULD RESULT IN THE HITCH SEPARATING FROM THE FRAME, CREATING A ROAD HAZARD INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.

Action Need To Fix It: DEALERS WILL INSPECT AND TIGHTEN UP THE HITCH BOLTS FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL BEGAN ON SEPTEMBER 6, 2011. OWNERS MAY CONTACT JAYCO AT 1-800-283-8267.
